Half-yearly local content report

The 30-day half-yearly local content report, the official guideline, and what a receipt looks like.

Deadline

Guideline version 4 states the half-year deadline as on or before 30 July, and on or before 30 January, because those dates are 30 days after 30 June and 31 December. If the date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, the guideline moves it to the next business day. Keep the signed submission and the Secretariat receipt. A draft is not a filing.

A useful file includes the procurement basis, employment and capacity-development figures, the comparative view, and the evidence behind each total. A person reviews it. The system does not transmit it. Keep the receipt.

Questions people ask

When is the half-yearly local content report due?

Guideline version 4 of 13 June 2025 states on or before 30 July for the January to June period, and on or before 30 January for July to December. If that day is a weekend or a bank holiday, the guideline moves the deadline to the next business day.

Is 31 July the deadline?

No. The guideline's own date for the first half is 30 July, subject to the weekend and bank-holiday extension. Do not replace it with 31 July.

Does the software submit the report?

No. A person reviews the pack, submits it, and keeps the receipt. A draft or an email is not acceptance by the Secretariat.
