Emissions and flaring: use the permit, not a generic cap

Report the flare and emissions figures the permit and the licence actually require. No universal limit is stored here.

What the official sources say

Flaring and emissions duties, where they exist, are in the project's environmental permit, the petroleum licence, and the applicable EPA regulations. They are not a single national percentage that this site can print. If the permit states a limit, a location, a unit, and a window, record those. If it does not, the metric stays unknown.

A missing report, an old sample, or a file that nobody has accepted is not "within limit". It is unknown. PetroMetric will not estimate a flare volume from production data, and it will not call a benchmark gap a statutory breach. The Petroleum Activities Act and the EPA are different instruments. Cite the one that actually imposes the duty.

Questions people ask

What is the legal flaring limit in Guyana?

This site does not state one. The limit, if any, is in the authorisation and the licence for that project. A generic cap would be an invention.

Is a blank emissions cell a pass?

No. Missing and unknown stay in the denominator. They are never treated as acceptable evidence.

Does PetroMetric submit emissions reports to the EPA?

No. It holds the evidence and the deadline. A person files the report and keeps the receipt.
